*A scheduled post for a shorter-than-normal week, I am away this weekend.
This week I...
...Fretted a lot and had my heart broken...
My lovely Mavis died on Thursday evening after a short but very aggressive and unidentified illness. I will miss her so much. I'd like to do a bit of a tribute post about her with some more pictures, and write down all her little quirks and foibles so I don't forget them, but I don't have the time today.
Thanks to everyone who has supported me this week via Twitter etc, you are all lovely!
PS. Sally seems to be coping well in that she doesn't seem to have noticed Mavis's absence at all (perhaps she could sense what was coming before Mavis left for the vets on Tuesday), although she is being very snuggly and concerned towards me which is nice.

I'm so, so sorry Lucy. Mavis was an absolute beauty and losing a beloved cat is so painful. Sending you loads of love. xxx
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry. It must be horrible - I dread the day that something happens to Ted. They really do become part of the family.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear that - it really is upsetting :(
ReplyDeleteoh that is very sad news. She looks so lovely too. We used to have cats when I was little, most of them got run over too young and it was always heartbreaking, so I can imagine how you feel now.
ReplyDeleteIt must be even worse if you're not sure what happened to her.
*hugs*
I'm so so sorry. The good moments with her will remain in your heart forever.

ReplyDeleteOh I'm so sorry to hear about Mavis. She looks a lovely feline. I've always said that cats can sense when we hoomins need some extra care and attention. I hope you're okay.
